La ceremonia de los premios de la Academia Británica de las Artes Cinematográficas y de la Televisión, conocidos como Bafta se llevará a cabo el próximo 19 de febrero en el Royal Festival Hall de Londres. Para la 76ª edición de la gala estará como presentador Richard E. Grant, actor suazi-británico.
La transmisión de la premiación será a través del canal BBC iPlayer a partir de las 19:00 horas. El público de Latinoamérica sólo podrá seguirla en redes sociales oficiales de @BAFTA en Instagram, Twitter o Facebook.

Dentro de la lista de nominados se encuentra la cinta "Pinocho", del mexicano Guillermo del Toro y la cubana Ana de Armas.
El cineasta mexiano está nominado en tres categorías como Mejor Filme de Animación, Mejor Score Original y Mejor Diseño de Producción.
Durante la etapa de premiaciones, Guillermo del Toro se ha llevado un Premio Globo de Oro a la Mejor Película Animación y Mejor película animada en los Critics Choice Awards.
"Han sido un gran año para el cine de todos los tamaños. Un año de grandes cambios, de películas ambiciosas y de películas íntimas, y por lo tanto ha sido un gran año para la animación porque la animación es cine", comentó Guillermo al recibir su segundo Globo de Oro.
